J'ahl Ma'la lived on the Martian home world of Mar'zha, he was the oldest of seven children. J'ahl was always curious, wanting to know everything. When he entered school, he was quickly noted for being a persistent student. On the day of his graduation from the eighth level of education into the ninth, the city of Dael'a was attacked by White Martians. That day, J'ahl watched as all his family, friends, and friends' families get slaughtered. He chose to leave the planet, feeling he had no more emotional ties there anymore. He flew through the cosmos, seeking a new home and after flying through the void of space for three years, he found Mylania. He chose to stay on this new planet, hoping to find somewhere to call home.
